Sooda is a holy place where Lord Subramanya is worshipped and has 55 Naga banas, brahmasthanas and Sasthavus and has devotees visiting the temple seeking answers to their prayers for centuries.  In Tulu Nadu every home has a Naga bana.  For those who have lost connect with their homes, it is believed that they can worship their Naga and make offerings at the Sooda temple.  The offerings that are made to Lord Vasuki are :

Tula Bhara, Ranga Puja, Naga Samaradhane, Naga Prathishta, Urulu seva ( dodda made sthana) and Podi made sthana .  However the following offerings are not made in Sooda:  Naga Mandala, Brahma  Mandala and Rashi puja ; as they are not acceptable to Lord Vasuki.  

Flowers that are liked by Lord Vasuki include :  Naga Sampige, Kedage, Desi Sampige, Mallige, Mandara and Pingara.
